ANCHOR SCRIPTURE

2 Kings 7:1“Hear ye the word of the Lord; Thus saith the Lord, Tomorrow about this time…”

🔔 OPENING MIDNIGHT CRY

Father, at this midnight hour, I align my life with Your Word.
Every prolonged affliction ends now!
By this time tomorrow, let my story change, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen!

🧭 INTRODUCTION (WHY THIS WORD MATTERS)

2 Kings 7 opens in a season of extreme famine, hopelessness, and mockery. Samaria was under siege. The economy had collapsed. People were eating what was unthinkable (2 Kings 6:25–29).
Into this impossible situation, God released a time-bound prophecy:

“Tomorrow about this time…”

This was not encouragement—it was divine interruption.

🔑 Key Truth:
When God speaks “by this time tomorrow,” He is declaring:

  • A deadline to suffering
  • A sudden reversal
  • A speedy manifestation beyond human logic

📚 SERMON (VERSE BY VERSE INSIGHT)

🔹 1️⃣ THE WORD CAME IN THE MIDST OF CRISIS

  • God did not wait for conditions to improve.
  • He spoke inside the famine, not after it ended.

📖 Psalm 46:1 — “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”

➡️ Application:
Your breakthrough does not need permission from circumstances.

🔹 2️⃣ GOD ATTACHED TIME TO THE MIRACLE

“Tomorrow about this time…”

God is the Owner of time.

  • He can compress seasons (Joel 2:25)
  • He can accelerate processes (Amos 9:13)
  • He can cause overnight change (Psalm 30:5)

📖 Ecclesiastes 3:1 — “To everything there is a season…”

➡️ Application:
Delay is not denial when God sets the clock.

🔹 3️⃣ MOCKERY ROSE AGAINST THE WORD

“…if the Lord would make windows in heaven…” (2 Kings 7:2)

Unbelief often disguises itself as logic.

📖 Numbers 23:19 — “Has He said, and shall He not do it?”
📖 Isaiah 55:11 — “My word… shall not return unto me void.”

➡️ Warning:
Never mock what God has spoken—you may see it but not partake (2 Kings 7:2b).

🔹 4️⃣ GOD USED UNLIKELY VESSELS

God used four lepers—men rejected by society—to announce the miracle (2 Kings 7:3–9).

📖 1 Corinthians 1:27 — “God has chosen the foolish things… to confound the wise.”

➡️ Application:
Your breakthrough may come through channels you never expected.

🔹 5️⃣ THE TURNAROUND WAS TOTAL

  • Famine ended
  • Economy reset
  • Word fulfilled exactly

📖 2 Kings 7:16 — “So a measure of fine flour was sold for a shekel…”

📖 Psalm 126:1–2 — “When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion…”

➡️ Conclusion:
When God says “by this time tomorrow,” nothing is permitted to stand in the way.
