OVERCOMING BARS OF IRON

Scripture References:
Isaiah 45:2–3 — “I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the
gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron.”
Psalm 107:16 — “For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.”
Micah 2:13 — “The breaker is come up before them… their king shall pass before them, and the Lord
on the head of them.”
Introduction:
God is the Breaker who goes before His people, shattering every man-made, demonic, or self-imposed
barrier that resists His purpose. These “bars of iron” represent impossible situations that hold people
captive. Today, God promises to cut them asunder.

1. Understanding the Bars of Iron
   Bars of iron represent anything hard, unyielding, and reinforced against your progress. They can be
   spiritual, emotional, financial, or relational. God specializes in breaking them through divine
   intervention.
   Examples of Bars of Iron:
   • Personal strongholds — sin, shame, guilt.
   • Internal prisons — fear, anxiety, unbelief.
   • Relational barriers — unforgiveness, bitterness.
   • Structural limitations — closed doors, stagnation.
   • Demonic strongholds — generational curses, oppression.
2. God the Breaker
   Micah 2:13 calls Him “the Breaker.” He goes before us, opening the way. Jesus fulfilled this role by
   breaking the chains of sin and death. When the Breaker goes before you, resistance loses its power.
3. How God Breaks the Bars
   • Revelation: God opens your eyes to the root of bondage.
   • Repentance: Turning from sin and wrong alliances.
   • Renunciation: Canceling agreements with fear or failure.
   • Resistance: Standing firm in faith and prayer.
   • Praise: Praise is the crowbar that opens gates (Acts 16).
   • Prophetic Obedience: Acting on God’s instruction releases power.
4. Biblical Examples
   • Peter in prison — the iron gate opened on its own (Acts 12).
   • Samson — carried the gates of the city by divine strength (Judges 16).
   • Paul & Silas — chains broke through worship (Acts 16).

    • Lord, reveal every hidden bar of iron in my life.
    • Break every demonic gate resisting my advancement.
    • Grant me strength to walk through the open gates.
    • Release angelic assistance on my behalf.
    • Let the testimony of divine breakthrough follow me this week.

    The Lord, your Breaker, goes before you. Gates of brass fall, bars of iron are cut, and you pass through
    freely. Hidden treasures are revealed to you, and the Lord calls you by name. Go in freedom and victory in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.
